Redefine QA: test not software, but institutions, governance, and cross-cultural responsibility.
We are building the world’s first AI Workforce OS —
where AI staff act as auditable digital employees: managing contracts, budgets, compliance, and cross-border workflows.
This requires a new profession: Institutional QA.
Not UI clicks. Not unit tests. But testing responsibility, culture, and governance.
About the Role
As our Founding Institutional QA Engineer, you will:
- Translate laws, contracts, and compliance rules into testable scenarios
- Conduct cross-cultural QA (EU, Japan, Taiwan): verify tone, roles, and workflows across jurisdictions
- Apply Semantic Testing frameworks (MVS, MTDD, MDTT) to institutional workflows
- Check role boundaries: who can approve, who can sign, who can pay
- Simulate audits and inspections: test if AI staff behavior withstands regulator and client review
- Collaborate with Semantic Contract Engineers to design accountability-driven infra
- Document failures not as “bugs” but as institutional risks
Why This Role Matters
Traditional QA checks software.
Institutional QA checks governance.
You’ll test whether:
- AI staff act responsibly across jurisdictions
- Outputs make sense linguistically, logically, and culturally
- Compliance holds under real-world scrutiny
This is QA redefined: testing institutions, not just systems.
Requirements
- Background in business, law, linguistics, philosophy, or cognitive science
- Strong ability to analyze rules, contracts, and institutional structures
- Training in linguistics, pragmatics, or logic (esp. Wittgenstein’s language-games, speech-act theory) is highly valued
- Intuitive logical thinker: can bridge mathematical logic and language logic
- Curious about cross-cultural governance (EU, Japan, Taiwan)
- Comfortable learning semantic testing frameworks (we will train)
- PhD (preferred) or Master’s degree in a relevant field
Nice to Have
- Exposure to QA, compliance, or auditing workflows
- Understanding of digital identity (DID/VC, EUDI Wallet, TW-DIW, My Number)
- Multilingual skills (English + Chinese; Japanese a plus)
- Basic ability to script in Python or TypeScript for test automation
Benefits
- Salary: NT$1.0M – 1.8M / year + equity
- Founding-level role: define the Institutional QA discipline
- Learn and apply Semantic Testing, Institutional QA, Cross-Cultural Validation
- Direct contribution to OECD, EU AI Act, and AI Governance reference cases
- Visa opportunities: Taiwan Gold Card, Europe Startup Visa, Japan (future setup)
